I can sync my Hero with my Outlook and whatever is on the PC will update on the phone, but when i made an entry in the phones calendar it will not sync back onto my pc. Anybody got any ideas ?

Thanks for the info, but ive already checked that and everything is selected. Tried unselecting it, syncing and then reselecting it and still nothing :(

I will one up you, when i attempt to sync my phone with Outlook i get an error halfway through the sync, and then a timeout between the device and my computer.

I have used windoze mobile for the last 5 years and over that time and countless desktops i've built and a couple purchased laptops have never had a sync issue with active sync.

Now with my new android dream i can't sync anything. The frustrating part is each time i try it the phone gets all the names from the contacts added, but none of the info. So i end up with 2 or 3 times the list of names of useless empty contacts.

htc tech support is offline for canada for now, with no expected return date, as well one of the tech support guys admitted to me today that he is also unable to sync his rogers android phone with outlook.

Anyone here an uber hacker or some damn thing? I'm at wits end, stuck with an expensive phone i can't sync, and desperately seeking advice that neither Rogers nor HTC is aable/willing to give me.

Thanks in advance!

Ps rogers sucks ass.

I have the same problem. Anyone have other suggestions on how to update Outlook from the phone?

The reply I got from HTC was basically the same thing, but again would not work.
However, it did make me think and check something.
WHen you make a calendar entry on the phone ensure it is selected to the Outlook option. This works 100% both ways now.
Sice Outlook is the only calendar I use it isn't a problem, apart from having to re-input any entries already in the phone
