Paint peeling off Red Hang Up Button?

And if you take that kind of problem (or dust for that matter) to a repair center, you better hope its a nice tech. The one at the local repair center around here is a complete asshole and told me he can't remove the dust from my phone, even after I went twice and had 2 other techs at 2 other stores tell me that it would be covered to be fixed at a repair center.

My red button just started peeling a tiny bit...month five or so. Green one is fine. What's the best clear nail polish or other sealant to use if I want to try that? Anyone have success with that method of sealing it?

My old hero had this problem and I recently got a brand new phone from sprint as a replacement and I have just learned to just use the onscreen call and hangup button. Sense has the phone button on the homescreen and the hang up button is also in the dialer. I know it sucks to have to do this, but it works for me.

The sprint rep replaced the phone due to the peeling alone. I had dust too but they said the keys cannot be repaired so we will order you a new one.

Yes this is common, has happened to mine however a lot of a$$holes on here will post that this has been posted before many times. But they are to stupid to know that new people come here not knowing this and may not know how to or can't find them with a search.

My end call button is a a red blob, but my call button is just fine, probably because I can't recall ever using it. I'm thinking I might just take the paint off both buttons if I get bored enough today, if I do I'll toss up some pictures.

hmmm.. Green all good...Red half gone... think I will try and get a new phone out of it. Didn't think possible until this thread came back up...cheers

LOL, nice.

Yup, big ol' chunk of paint missing right in the middle of the red button. Green button is fine though... Could you seriously get a new phone out of this??
