PdaNet, Bluetooth DUn, game problem

Hi. I have a Samsung Intercept and a MacBook Pro running 10.6.4. I have been tethering my phone to the laptop using PdaNet and playing Lord of the Rings Online (using Crossover Games) and it runs well except every 20 minutes or so the tethering part disconnects or PdaNet freezes.

I decided to try Bluetooth then and I'm connected just fine except when I try to log on to LOTRO now it sticks on Connecting to Server and keeps trying to do that without ever connecting (all the connection stuff before then to LOTRO works fine). What exactly is different from tethering to Bluetooth then that would cause this and is there something I can change to make it work?

thats normal with 3g, it cant hold a steady connection for long. Honestly, trying to do any kind of gaming while tethering to a phone isnt going to work well. 3g isnt made for gaming, its not fast enough and has too much lag.

honestly I used to lag more on my pc. I get none on my Mac just have the connection between the laptop and phone broken after playing for a bit.
