Hello,
I got an HTC Desire HD which doesn't work correctly - it's stuck on HTC logo so I thought that reflashing the official ROM would bring it back to life. I can boot into bootloader and recovery so perhaps it's not permanently bricked.
Although I have a problem. Which RUU should I choose? Here is all the information I can provide, hopefully you'll help me choose the correct one! :)

Also:
  • On Windows 10 this device is not recognized correctly so I have to work on Debian/Linux - so how can I use RUUs that are .exe files?
  • For some reason my bootloader cannot be unlocked, after flashing the unlocktoken and choosing "Yes" on the device, it reboots but it's still locked - if I could unlock it, I would just flash CyanogenMod. Ultimately I just want the device running, doesn't matter if it's official RUU or CM.
  • This device will most probably not be used with an SD card on a daily basis, although I have my "temporary" SD card which I could use for making a goldcard (something I've done with my old Desire Z as well...?)
  • I'm begging @scotty85 for help since he seems to be "the Desire HD master" :)
