I would like to use my Galaxy Tab 10.1 on an extended trip to preview photos on my sd card and perhaps crop and change the resolution. Are there any gold apps to use for this?

QuickPic is a nice gallery ... and maybe its cropping tool is enough :)

For more ... have a look at Photo Enhance or even PicShop.

Thanks to both of you. I actually use quickpix on my phone and never realized that it allowed you to crop and to resize. Very cool.

I looked a the image on the play.store. I don't get the same menus that they show. I played around with it to see if I could, but I don't. I can edit, though, so I guess it's not a problem.

PicShop looked good. I'll give that a try from more complicated editing to see how it goes. Thanks.

I think QuickPic's images on Play Store shows an older version. I've more menu items ... :)

I like very much Aviary, it has the most important functions and it's ui allows to change any photo very "sweetly".

    Good recommendations here.
If you don't mind spending a few bucks, I've found Photoshop Touch to be pretty much worthy of it's namesake. Yes, it's $10, but I found it worth the money (YMMV).

I have had great success with both pixlr & snapseed, both are free.
