Hello there! I recently got my first cell phone - a Samsung Galaxy Q. It's quite awesome, but I've read that it's also fragile. I guess that's normal, with the sliding keyboard and all. Given that I tend to drop my things a lot and I'm unlucky (my iPod fell once and the screen was destroyed), I'd like to protect it. I intend for it to last me as long as possible. So I'm looking into a protective case - not those pouches, the kind that you can use the phone with it on - and I don't know what to look for. Truthfully, I don't even know what sort of material would be the most protective. Moreover, I'd guess that it wouldn't be as easy as with many other models to protect it, given that the case needs to be in two parts, or have a sliding thingie, or something. What would you suggest? I don't trust store clerks anymore since I was told to buy a "thin but surprisingly protective" case for my iPod and it didn't even survive one fall. Also, what do you think about screen protectors? I believe my phone's screen is made of plastic, so I think it might be quick to scratch. Should I get one? Do they impede the use of the touch screen? What should I be careful about when shopping for one? PS: I have a profound hatred for leather.
