Question about Equalizer: Auto

Hey everyone, I have a simple question: How does the "Auto" option work on the Equalizer for the built-in Music player? Does it simply detect the type of song you are playing and adjust the settings BEFORE playing it, or does it auto-equalize WHILE the song is playing?

I'm also using a Galaxy Tab, if that helps at all, or if there isn't an "Auto" option for the Equalizers on other devices.

    Thanks.

I also read somewhere it's determined by your song name?

If so, how does that work?

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks. :)

Oh sorry. I meant unless there IS an Auto option for Equalizers on other Android devices, and if people know how it works. I just didn't know if it made any difference that I am using a Galaxy Tab.

I don't know but I guess Auto mode gets genre from ID tag and changes the equalizer. So, if you don't have proper ID tags in your mp3s, it won't work.

But this is just me guessing :)

Hmm, that sounds like a plausible explanation. Thanks.

Would anybody be able to back that up, or have any other suggestions?
