Questions about the new Jelly Bean update

Well i just got back from Boot Camp and turn y phone on for the first time in 3 months and low and behold jelly bean is available for it.

Has this upgrade been as ruff as the ICS update was? I remember i had to make sure i did a factory reset before i did the ICS update and was one of the lucky ones that had everything run smoothly.

Is it the same case with jelly bean? Should i just stay with ICS? I only have a few days before i ship out for some more training and don't want to have to deal with a broken phone in the mean time.

I did mine and had no issues. No factory reset required. I did use Kies to back up the phone before starting.
