Recommended reading?

Can anyone recommend where to get started if I am interested in developing for Android? I know tcl/tk, but nothing about Android development. Can anyone recommend a book series or some tutorials that would help?
I am sorry if this question has been asked before and many times.

there is a lot of information here, as well as required downloads if you plan to develop for the android platform. i'd say start there.
