I agree with Orion. Sprint has a history of launching their top shelf phone the first weekend of June.

Here's a question someone may have an answer to! Was the OG EVO in stores to play around with before it actually launched? I wasn't a day one adopter, so I wouldn't know. Bascially, I'd love a chance to play around with it before comitting myself to standing in line (assuming I end up deeming it a worthy upgrade at all).

When I preordered at Best Buy, they had dummy units on display and that was a good month before launch so I'd say no.

That's a bummer. Looks like I will end up waiting at least until I can get my hands on one and play with it. Then again, if it's terrible I can always return it within 30 days...

May 12 is when the release date was announced.

However, I have looked into my crystal ball and it definitely told me that Sprint would release it middle of May so I can get it during my trip

It's now common knowledge that it's expected sometime during the summer. Like everyone else, hope it is early summer.

I can't possibly imagine this. We'll see if it happens, could definitely be interesting if it does.

I mean, lets say they have supply issues like they did with the Evo 4G...and end up with paltry/non existent numbers by national launch time. Would look pretty bad for them.

After watching the video that was posted, I have to say I think this might move to a early July release instead of early June.
