Root Root and OTA Updates

Great. I'll leave it up for a bit but probably take it down to save some space.

I'll post the link to the system.img sometime tomorrow when (if) it finishes uploading overnight.

Thanks again for your help!

cool thanks. I don't have a vital system image so if you want a vital specific stock rom please upload it. Is it unmodified other than root?

Thankfully it is coming down way faster than it went up lol. Thanks for helping everyone get the update :)

Here is the new B09 deodexed rom. It is a 2-part install until everyone gets the updated partitions. It does not matter what order you flash them as long as you flash both. If you have already updated to B09, you only need the rom. The deodexed/debloated is the smallest of the 3 so I would like to get the kinks (if any) ironed out before i move on. Feedback would be great :)

I do not recommend vital owners to flash these partitions. If you do and it works, let us know. If you do and it does not work...not my fault ;)

edit: you need cwm to flash these. Stock recovery will not work.

Thank you! As soon as I get back home and charge my phone I'll try this.

I installed the B09 Stock ROM Deodexed just fine but when flashed the partition updater is says:

assert failed: getprop("ro.product.name") == "zte_quantum"
E:Error in /sdcard/quantum_supreme_B09_partition_updater.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted

Ok thanks. I will make a new one. Sorry about that. Does it work without the partitions?

Yes it does, it booted just fine and SW Version is N9810V1.0.0B09

Good to know. It is up to you if you flash the partitions then. They get updated in the official update so it is probably a good idea, but who knows lol

Now it says:

Verifying current system..

Damn, that's because you have the new boot.img and i forgot to take it out of the script. Hang on

The only thing we still need is B09 stock recovery.

@CmplxAdSys I believe you are the only one that has it right now so it would be great if you could grab it. Hopefully you have not installed cwm yet lol. If you still have stock recovery, getting the image is the same as before, just a different name in the command.

adb
Code:
adb shell
su
cat /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/recovery > /sdcard/B09_recovery.img

terminal emulator
Code:
su
cat /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/recovery > /sdcard/B09_recovery.img

Thanks :)

If someone else would like to help to get the B09 stock recovery, I made a flashable zip that should do all the work for you.

quantum_supreme_B09_recovery_updater.zip

Flash it in cwm...it will flash stock B06 recovery, patch it to B09, copy it to your sdcard, and flash cwm back to the device. Once it is finished, boot back into cwm to make sure you are back where you started, then upload the B09_recovery.img it created on your sdcard. Thanks

I have not tested this but it should work. Use at your own risk.

I still have stock recovery. Working and meetings all this weekend, so I'll try to get to it tonight if not tomorrow, if somebody doesn't get to it first. Sorry for the delay!
