I have a Droid that i bought a flash, pre-rooted w/smoked glass. Is it possible to flash a new ROM with out losing its flash to cricket?

another real quick question, is it normal to not be able switch SD cards on a phone with a ROM i.e smoked glass.

I can't answer this with 100% certainty, but something to try is load ROM Manager and make a backup of your current ROM. Then try flashing another ROM and see what happens. If your phone doesn't work then you can reload your backup (which is a perfect image of your current ROM) and your back in business. I do know when you flash a ROM it doesn't change your Baseband.

AFAIK your baseband is what should control your phone communications ie: Verizon or Cricket (this is the part I am not 100% sure about and hopefully someone with greater knowledge can clarify.)

Also if you currently have SPRecovery then you can do a nandroid backup from the recovery mode. I prefer to use ROM Manager as a personal choice.
