Save from My Maps Desktop to G1 App.

I am trying to save a specific route from "My Maps" on my desktop to my mobile G1 Maps App. Don't understand why this doesn't auto sync like my gmail, etc..

Ok, so I downloaded my maps editor and it will bring up the specific map and it shows the route and the beginning point and ending point but not the actual directions.

When I click on the direction button in the lower right it takes me to a screen with to a drop down feature list with the name of the map and the starting and end points.

When I click on one of the options it takes me to a black screen with the starting point and the options to "close", "move marker" and "edit".

I am just trying to figure out how to save a map including directions on my phone from my desktop.
