Help SD Card Question

I have a question for all of you. Is it safe for me to boot up a ROM on one SD card then swap it out for another with music, photos, apps, etc.?

im assuming ur using a triumph, because the only way i now of a ROM running on a SD card is through boot manager but that's not compatible with the triumph at the moment. the ROM is not on the SD card, if that's what u mean, so removing the SD card that had the zipped ROM u flashed will not mess up your ROM. So swapping the SD card out for a bigger size is OK. i flashed my rom when i had a 8gb SD card then i upgraded to a 16GB SD card and everything works fine.

No, you can't, most of the roms files are located on your triumph, not the sd card (except some of the features of MIUI). That's not going to work, and likely will screw up your Triumph. If you want to switch between roms, use CWM and backup/restore roms.

Ok thanks guys. Yeah I'm running Joe's MIUI right now so I guess I'll wait in doing that for a while. I just don't want to keep filling up my 16GB card with everything. That's why I picked up a 2GB one that was gonna be ROM dedicated.

From my understanding.. i can boot a rom without an sd card. if that rom was already previously loaded.. ive booted with an sd card. let it load and swap sd cards.. i have no idea what yall guys are talking about. but its totally possible. as ive done it many times:p

You only need the sd card to flash a ROM, after that you don't have to have the flashable zip on your card.
