Root Should I wait for update to 2.2

Droid X rooted 2.2

I just bought droid x bootstrapper, TI backup pro, Root explorer pro, , Rom manager pro and I am ready to try a new rom. I am new to this but I have done a lot of reading. My question is should i wait for the update to 2.2 I think there will be 2 of them I work for the air force and our verizon rep said that there will be two in the next to week. One is for the SMS and the other is for enterprise stuff.

So from "Droid X rooted 2.2" I get that you are currently on 2.2. Which 2.2 are you running? the leaked? or the OTA?

The OTA I have done nothing but rooted..
