So I got my Droid X2 as a replacement for my Droid X because i was having continuing issues with it. At first I didnt like the X2 as much as my X as it didnt run as smooth on the home screens because I used to use go launcher on my X, but the X2 cant handle alternate home launchers without redraws, and I hate redraws. So I have been running the stock Motorola launcher. The first week or so it was always laggy and stuttered a lot when i switched home screens, but now it has been silky smooth! Launching and switching apps has always been fast, but now that the launcher is smooth my phone really shows that its using that dual core and I now love this phone.

Just a good experience story I though I would share if any new adapters were having the scrolling issues, now you know that it could smooth out as you use the phone more.

I was having the same stuttering and lag issues with my X2 when I first bought it. It continued right up until I installed the recent update with the bug fixes and Gingerbread. Once I installed that update, the phone completely got itself under control. It now is extremely smooth. Scrolling between home screens is lag free and consistently smooth. I don't have any more of the restarts and force closes my phone was famous for. My battery life has improved pretty dramatically as well.

It really is like having a new phone. I think that many of the bugs were addressed and Motorola got the bugs out with this update. Now I can finally say I am satisfied with my Droid X2, and very glad that I bought it.

Im glad that motorola is getting their act together with their custom user interfaces. I would like to see some better widgets though. The weird thing is, is that I got my X2 and immediately upgraded to gingerbread so I really dont know how it ran on froyo, but i was having the lag issues with gingerbread then all of a sudden -BAM- it smoothed out one day.
