Help SMS URLs not 'clicking through'

For some reason, I cannot click through on an URL that has been texted to me. When I click on it I get "copy text" as the option. It used to be that it would take me to the destination of the link. Any guidance? It is driving me insane.

What model phone do you have and are you using the stock app?

This is not really a fix but you could try a different messaging app (I use Textra)

I have vzw gs3 I think it's i535. Stock app. Why would it have changed?

I don't have your specific model of phone, but my first inclination is to ask if you have looked through all of your texting app's settings and checked to see if there was a check box or something of the sort that could be resolved.

Plus, I would also like to confirm that the URL is valid.
