Should I stick with the CM6 ROM or use the official ROM?

I'm staying official until/unless there is something I can only do with root.

Just be aware that the current methods of obtaining root will NOT work once you have the 2.2 official update. You'll have to hope that hackers find a pathway to root on the new ROM. However, if you already have root, getting a stock ROM with root will be very easy, so you can enjoy the stock features while retaining all root privs.

That means, before this next OTA update, unrooted users should decide whether or not they want to root or not. Your next window of opportunity could be tomorrow, a week, a month, or even never.

Rooted users should be aware that once you give away your root privs, you might have to wait a while before you can get them back, and potentially you can never get them back.

In practice, there always is a way to hack the rom. Take a look at the jailbreaking scene for iphones. Apple keeps patching, and hackers keep exploiting. So....
