Root [Sprint/Cricket] Blazer ROM PLF9

either that or a bad recovery. ive had this exact scenario exist from a bad recovery on my evo

I didn't know it could be because of that. I HOPE the person isn't using CWM or TWRP 2.3.0. I'm not upgrading my TWRP because I don't see anything wrong with it. 2.2.2 (or whatever that last number is, lol) works fine for me.

a recovery can foul just like a rom can. Its not very likely, but a sector on the internal memory going bad (where the recovery lives) could cause this. Rewriting the recovery to the physical memory could fix it

Yea, I'm aware of sectors because I used to deal with PC stuff. I didn't think the sectors in a phone would get borked that easily. I can understand a PC because of several factors. I learned something new today, lol.

ok guys thanks a ton i just got home reflashed my old recover (replaced the TW touch recovery) and tried flashing it again and it worked :)

Me too I watched a couple reviews on this Rom and was very interested when they said it will have great battery life and be smooth. Can anyone back this up? Also wish it had crt animation ;-)

In my experience it was great on battery life and smooth but that's subjective per person. It depends on what you do and how much your screen is actually lit (taking into account you don't have any wake locks while the screen is off, lol).
