Root [Sprint/Cricket] Team Win Recovery Project TWRP

I had that recovery on my OG, have it on 2 kindle fires and think I will switch to it on my SG3. Never had an issue with it and I like the touch screen option rather than using the volume rocker

me too!! i know that ocn had a brick with it on the OG Evo, but ive never heard of another one with that recovery and ive run it a couple times!! Im running it now, and the only issue ive come across is that not all roms are supported on all recoveries. If you can call that an issue, as its not tough to flash a recovery.

That seemed to be a specific issue with the OG EVO's version of TWRP. Its a very good recovery. OCN's even running it on the LTEVO. ;)

CWM recovery is the only other one we have for the Sprint S3 at the moment :/. TWRP is your best option

Ah thanks! I was just curious is all lol I was curious if there were any alternatives at all. I was a little surprised that CWM wasn't there at first but now I know better.

Yeah, unfortunately amon_ra isn't available (yet) for the gs3 :(

Amon Ra was amazing. Has he made any recoveries for any other phones besides the Evo OG?? I loved that Recovery and would love an updated version of it for our phones.

Twrp is no good if you break your screen. I flashed so much on the og evo when I broke my screen I was able to run a super wipe before sending my phone back in ;)

That's why I flashed cwm a while ago because it didn't use the screen. I went back to TWRP like a day later because it has a better reputation, lol

thats one of the nice things about flashing tons and tons of times... you get accustomed to where the options are and just know that the ::whatever option youre looking for:: is and know how many vol down button presses you need to access it. Running blind is bad unless you remember the screens

Errr...I thought about what I originally posted and decided to delete it instead.

Isn't it better to just have the screen replaced by yourself or a third party rather than have Sprint get involved and pay $100?
