Help System UIDs Inconsistent warning

Are you rooted? If so go to recovery - advanced and select fix permissions. If your luck it will fix it, if not a factory reset, fresh install, or nandroid restore is required.
My bf bought me a Nexus 4 so I was trying to reformat my Incredible to give to my sons and I didn't think to unroot first. I kept getting the "inconsistent UIDs" error so I followed your suggestion and it worked, thank you so much!

It's an issue with file system descriptors. There ends up being some problems with the data partition.

Try using recovery to re-format the /data partition (in newer versions of TWRP, it's Wipe > Advanced Wipe > [x] Data > Repair or Change File System > [note which you are using here] Change File System > [ext4, in my case])

I'm using HTC Evo LTE with HTC One software.

Here are some links that may help: (this may apply to your phone, even if not using HTC - but you may also have a different problem)

Solution !!!!
Root your phone>install rom manager>open rom manager>go to fix permissions>start fix permissions > and the problem is solved
applause for me :)

Had the same issue on MATE7. Installed ROM MANAGER and "fix permission" trick did the job.
Not necessary to "WIPE DATA / FACTORY RESTORE" which takes a lot of time to reinstall all the apk then.
Thanks a lot Costantino for the precious suggestion !!!
