    hey, first post =]

i'm getting a desire at some point soon, and what i was wondering is, are the plans that are available on the t-mobile website cheaper than what you would find instore?

i was going to wait and see what the orange plans are like, but i don't really know how much longer i can wait to get my hands on a desire. And orange aren't usually cheap are they?

i dont know about in store but i just checked on T-mobile site and the cheapest contract is 10 pounds for 24 months and 164 pounds for the phone.
the plane includes internet, 100 min and 100 texts.

I think thats a pretty good deal as a sim free phone is around 390 and this plan would cost you 404 including all the internet, talking minutes etc.

HEY, just two days ago i had the exact same question, i wanted the desire
and basically store is the same as the internet

HTC Desire Mobile tariffs on Pay monthly

i saw this deal on the internet
    165 for the handset + 10pounds a month
    and you got 100 mins, 100 texts , unlimited texts +Any poster ( i choose unlimted texts0

its a 24 month contract, 10 pounds a month, thats 240 pounds over two years, + the cost of the handit makes 400.00 << cheaper than getting it on payg

i went in store and told them what i wanted...and they looked at a little book with all the plans on it...and they were like....oh yes i see

GET IT GET IT GET IT SUCH A NICE PHONE... I GOT MINE YESTERDAY :) i was too excited so instead of getting it online i went straight to the shop down the road, i had to have it there and then! :)

i had the jet, such a disaster DESIRE FTW

i actually saved money, because i used to have
    A hero on payG
the hero cost me 200 + i spend 10 a month on credit = 440 every two years
so i sold the hero got the Desire, on 10 a month contract = 405 every two years

I doubt you can beat t-mobiles offering with an orange deal. I pay more to stay with orange, but you have to take into account other things, like with orange i save about

I would love to move away from Orange to a better data package but I have the free home broadband which breaks any other deal. Plus like Lekky I make good use of Orange Wednesdays.

I am surprised that Orange are attracting any new smartphone customers.

To be fair they do have an awesome 3G network coverage.

But it shouldn't matter soon anyway because Orange have bought t-mobile. Within 2 years all t-mobile customers will be with Orange, and I'd expect orange and t-mobile to share their network well before then..

so i went down to t-mobile
all the stores in Manchester were out of stock and won't be getting any until Wednesday
i guess it will be just as fast to order one from the website in that case?

    also,
i thought orange were supposed to be releasing the desire on the 2nd?
theres nothing on the website atall

you can never trust Orange's dates.
If your currently with orange then Is your contract over with them?
