    First off!
    Hi everyone!

I'm building an android tablet into my car. the tablet i'm looking at has WIFI and GPS etc... but no Bluetooth!

I was wondering if there is a way to use wifi to send calls from my phone to my tablet?

    Cheers!

google voice and grooVeIP combined, but you need a mic to make calls.

I use google voice on my tablet just for texting [no mic]

That only solves the problem of how to place a call from the tablet. He still needs a mobile hotspot on his phone to make the wifi connection. Seems like an awful lot of trouble to go through just to get the large screen interface of the tablet.

BTW, many tablets have mics built-in for voice recognition apps (my GTab 10.1 does).

If hes in the car, him or someone else will have a cell phone on them, and anything but very new phone can be made to hotspot for free or by charge.

but it works very well, turned a used OV into a WiFi only device, free number calls and text, long as WiFi is in range.

And so many places have free WiFi these days, its hard not to pick up signal from somewhere.
