Why do you want temporary root, and not regular root?
Either way, go to my "Ultimate DROID3 Root Thread" (it's stickied at the top of the Droid 3 Root section) and follow the instructions for root.
This program allows for unrooting as well

It has the option to root, and unroot. Which technically, could be temporary root.
Again, why temporary root?

Because, I just want to use wireless tether for a second, but then unroot.

No point in temporary root then, Verizon has implemented something into the radio that stops unauthorized wireless tethering.
