Help Text Message Issue

After upgrading to 2.2 I have had an issue when I delete a txt message, the contact remains in the messages list with no subject or message content and a date of Dec 31 1969. This is becoming annoying as I am getting quite a list of empty messages. Has anyone else experienced this. As an FYI, the phone was rooted, but still on stock ROM before upgrading to 2.2. I did the one click unroot prior to the upgrade. Phone has not been re rooted.

I'm having a similar problem but I'm not using a stock rom. I'm running CyanogenMod 7.1.0 RC1. Have you found a solution?

Finally just a reinstall and started from Scratch, the problem never came back.
