The incoming call vibrate on my Eris was nonexistent, how is it on the Droid?

I'm picking up a Droid tomorrow. How is the call vibrate? I constantly missed just about every call on my Eris. :(

I searched the forums but couldn't find an answer to this.

    Thanks!

Vibrate isn't strong. You won't be happy with the Droid's vibrate. Its more of a work type vibrate where you can keep it on your desk and it won't make all your co-workers look at you. I suggest you look elsewhere, the vibrate is probably similar to the Eris. You can adjust it to make it have 3 long vibrates, but when its in your pocket doubt you would feel it unless your wearing some close to skin jeans/pants, which is good enough for me.

+1 I never notice the vibrate on my droid unless I hear it, like it's sitting on my desk, for instance.

I keep my Droid in a belt case when riding the motorcycle and when it rings I can't hear it but I feel it vibrate just fine.

Interesting. Of all the phones I've owned up to this point, my Droid's vibrate has been stronger than any other. At first it was annoying, but now I'm used to it.

Early on I thought there was something wrong with the vibrate setting on the Droid but lately I would say it's been very noticeable most of the time.

The vibrate is decent. It's not like a Blackberry, but then again, you could use a Blackberry to vibrate wet concrete.

He probably means you can adjust the vibrate pattern with Missed Call.

I agree, I think the vibrate is far too weak. I'd love to rip open the phone and attach a heavier weight to the vibration mechanism to make it stronger, but I don't have the balls for that. ;)

    I got a Droid. I haven't missed a single call.
It's not that I can feel the vibrate but something about the call volume and the amount of time I have to answer the call.

    Dunno exactly, but I'm happy.

Wow, either you guys have really thick skin or wear really thick clothing. The vibrate on my Droid is by far the stongest feedback I've ever had on any mobile device.

Just for comparison it's definitely stonger than my Dualshock 3 controllers, if that even says much.

Tomorrow (because it's after midnight now), I'm going to have people call me on my phone and test the vibration.

    Will post results. :)

Test failed. I can't feel it vibrate in my pocket but I wear my jeans loose so that could be the problem.

Will have to do further testing with thinner summer clothes . . .
it's still too cold here to bring out the warm weather wardrobe.
