Thinking of switching from Motorola Triumph

Does anybody have some suggestions? i really want the galaxy nexus but the price of the phone is kinda expensive:/
 
I'm considering a jump myself. I'm leaning toward Ting for the carrier, but the phones are pricey. I'd love to have 4G.
 
I actually switched from the triumph to the an unlocked gsm galaxy nexus. Price was about $470 and its definitely worth it! Best phone i've ever used. The plan is $30 unlimited text/data at 4g speeds throttled after 5gb and 100 minutes a month. Which is cheaper than VM's 300 minute plan and I never talk on the phone so its good for me.

The Galaxy Nexus is truly the pure android experience.
 
I'm waiting for an HTC phone for vm. I've heard that the One V had about the same amount of app space as the optimus v, so that's out. I'm hoping for an evo 3d with a lot of internal space.

the one v has 4gb of internal storage... A lot is used by sense, but there should be like 1-2 gb of internal storage.
 
But the One V has the same screen size as the iphone, 3.7 inch. Im waiting to see if VM gets the EVO 3d, because i will definitely switch
 
i have the triumph and every since i learned how to put custom roms on my phone it has been the best phone i every had, i would get that or wait and see what this HTC One V is going to be about.
 
I'm using an LG Thrill 4G for AT&T on the Straight Talk network, $45 a month for Unlimited Everything. I've had it for a week now, and the service is excellent, no issues whatsoever. You can purchase any GSM phone with 850/1900 bands, purchase a SIM card specific to the type of phone you have on StraightTalk's website. Pop the SIM card in, edit APN settings and you're all good to go. Easy and simple. plus it roams on T-mobile and AT&T networks.

This, scored a free iphone 4 32gb, sold my triumph, and have never been happier. I just wish it was a nice android, but hey, you can't beat a free iphone.

3g Speeds in seattle area are around the 4-5mb speed. Which is more than I have ever gotten with virgin times atleast 4.
 
I'm on the same boat, but not because of the network (which in reality isn't half-bad here in Houston), but because I'm afraid all that can be done with the phone has been done (considering what our devs have to work with, they have had )... which means there is no future for the device. :(

I don't know. I'm going to decide here in the summer (when I have the money to do something like an iPhone, or a high end Android on Sprint/Verizon), and maybe by then VM will have another phone.

anyone ever have one of these HTC Wildfire S phones, looking at the VM stats, seems like its a step down from the triumph lol, i wanna see step up's lol, but im curious to how the phone is

any unlocked, or T-mo carrier locked phone. If you want 3g/ 4g the phone needs to support 1700/ 2100 frequency bands though. And outside of T-mo phones there aren't many phones that do so keep that in consideration if you plan to switch.

Go with StraightTalk. GSM phones, unlocked or locked to AT&T or T-mobile with 850/1900 bands are supported. You don't get 4G, but you do get HSPA+, plus roaming on both AT&T and T-mobile networks. Just order the sim card for your phone on their website, pop it in, and follow the set up steps. Simple and cheap: Unlimited Everything for $45. You can use iPhone, Galaxy Note, etc..
