i dont play much with homescreens and stuffs
im more of an apps enthusiasts
i only use go launcher ex with windows 7 theme by andre sergio
battery really drains fast and the only app im using for it which did show some improvement is juice defender

i wonder when will our gingerbread update be

heheehhe..oo nga tagal talaga ng update. wala pa rin dito sa uae. still waiting for gingerbread update. only after the update then will i try to exploit the full potential of this phone. for now, stock muna.

did any of you guys encounter duplicate names/contacts when creating sms and going to contacts?
and any of you using go sms? contact photos dont appear on go sms only on stock and handcent

I'm always plugged in so cant really say about battery. Although I wont expect it to last for more than 13hrs (I'm a heavy user, texting, calling, tweeting, checking in, push email, etc), I'm always connected to 3G internet (I have unlimited data plan on Globe).

I have Go SMS and Handcent, pero I use handcent primarily because I like the popup restrict feature (only shows when screen is locked. Go SMS shows contact pictures, open Go SMS>menu>settings>appearance settings>conversation list customization>display contact pictures.

Depends on how you transferred your contacts to the phone. If you just Bluetoothed it, this happens sometimes (duplicate contacts). I have MS Outlook synced to my Google, Ovi (Nokia) and Hotmail Accounts, so I just synced my phone to Google Contacts and all contacts went to the phone no problems.

i already did try display contact pictures on go sms before but still didnt show
might be related to the duplicate contacts im having problems with

i transferred my contacts via the old prepaid sim i had
disabled sim contacts afterwards via the contacts menu option
contacts doesnt show duplicate when using phone contacts option
only on sms
i guess might be an android related problem too since when i google for it
many are having the same problem on different phone brands but no real solution


and would any of you guys post all the apps you downloaded and installed on your phone?

Not sure. Go SMS on my phone works perfectly. For app list, maybe we should make a new thread. I have almost 200 apps installed.

Hello guys! no ono was answering in my thread asking for help on how to improve the signal of my SL. I went home in Batangas last long weekend, i noticed that i cant make/receive incoming/outgoing texts and calls there (im on suncellular). This does not happen in my old phone (samsung star wifi) even im in Batangas i can still do the usual things to my phone just like here in manila (text, call, surf). Maybe i just need to change a setting on my galaxy SL? anyone know it? haist... i ended up using my old phone last long weekend so as not to miss important calls and texts...thanks!

I noticed that one too.. SL is slow in picking up signal.. guess we'll just have to get used to it. HAHAHAHA still looking for solutions too, though

Nope. Mine picks up signals fine. I play WoW using my SGSL as a wifi hotspot and I only get 351 latency. faaasttt..

maybe depends on some areas
try switching to other networks instead

as for me....
still googling on how to get free mobile internet here in our country
heard it was just proxy settings.

Played around. Having WP7 envy. I'll be getting a Win8 tablet when one comes out. WOOT. Here's my new homescreen:

New desktop. Decided maybe if I decrease my widgets to only the ones I really use most often I'd save a couple more hours of battery life. LOL.

I'm using Launcher Pro by the way for now. Havent decided if I'd use it or go back to Go Launcher EX, but so far its been smoother in the effects department.

Ubermusic 4x3 widget

And I got 15 icons on the dock. Launcher Pro and GO Launcher allow for sidescrollable docks, and I got 10 folders of apps there. LOL.

Still havent decided if the wallpaper is gonna stay but miss Alodia is so pretty. LOL.

update lang sa homescreens ko. this is one of the goodness of android. you wont get tired of your homescreens. you can change it any time to your liking.

I went back to Go EX because LP was doing a "stopped working, force close" on me repeatedly. That means, new screens! LOL.

Oh yeah, I really like the invisible slider on my lockscreen (top one). LOL. People are asking, how do you unlock! LOL.

LOL. The Dock icons are my objectdock icons. LOL.
