Help Touch Key Help?

Is there any way to change to settings for the touch keys on the bottom of my LG Thrill? I want them to stay lit up longer but can not for the life of me figure out how to change the settings for that. This is my first android and I just got it yesterday and other than the outdated software(which one of the people at AT&T I spoke to said the update released on the 5th and everyone should have it within 2 weeks of that, so one more week hopefully) and the back light timeout on the touch keys, I'm absolutely in love!!

Sorry but the only to have those buttons lit up longer is the root your phone and hope someone baked a custom ROM for that.
