Trouble downloading pics from S2 to Computer

Hi all! I'm new and it looks like y'all are a wealth of knowledge.

I'm trying to download photos from my Galaxy S2 to my computer but I'm having some problems. I have been able to do it previously, but the past few times I've tried I have had problems.

I have the USB connected and nothing happens. Previously a message would pop up and allow me to download, but I get nothing now.

Help because I'm getting sick of e-mailing the pics and downloading that way.

What I do is use a OTG usb adapter and plug a flashdrive into it. Then you can copy to the drive and backup your photos. I've done the same with the mpeg-4 gs2 videos.

If your using w7, windows media player can play your videos without having to convert them to a different file system!

Hello and welcome to Android Forums!

The most likely culprits will be either the USB port or the cable itself. If you can, try a different cable. Many times one of the connections fails leaving the phone able to charge, but nothing more.

Easiest way to do this is to use Google Drive. Everything is synced to the cloud account.
