I got a Nexus 6P yesterday and after an automatic install of all the apps on my Google account and two Android updates - many of my apps wont run - including after a reinstall. (Play Store works)

I just get the "unfortunately xxxx has stopped" message all the time.

This affects all the third party apps and others like the Googlebar. (it does nothing! I have to start chrome to use the net). I cleared the system cache already.

I cant see how a factory reset will fix this because it is brand new!

I can find lots of discussion on previous Nexus models - but not the 6P)

    FIXED!

I switched off auto time and date, changed it to the WRONG day and time, then manually synced my Google account.

Glad you got it working. Are you sure it was set to the correct time zone for your area/network? A lot of sync services require the date/time to be close and if off it may not authenticate properly.
