Help Unlocked But Having Issues

I unlocked my LG Eve this morning so I can use my TELUS SIM card, and it is working but there are some issues I'm having.

Only the basic phone and text messaging are working. I have no internet access, and I think it may be because the phone is showing that my network connection is a Roaming connection, although I am on the TELUS UMTS network.

Any ideas what's going on?

I had a similar issue using my unlocked phone on Bell's network.
