Help Uploading/attaching text files from phone

Hey there,

I have a Galaxy S II.

I am having trouble uploading text files (eg. uploading a CV to monster) as it only allowsme to select music or image files. This is extremely frustrating! A similar thing happens when trying to attach files to gmail (it just sends you straight to gallery). Although you can open the file and send it from there this means you can't attach multiple files to one email.

Anyone got any advice/info? It seems to severely limit the functionality of the phone... plus its making me tear my hair out D:

I would say that is a limitation of the Monster site not the email app. Most sites and corporate mail will not allow attachment of text files because text files can often contain executable code java script, even windows script files. This has been the case for many years since at least 10 years ago now. I am not surprised it will not allow txt files.

In order to transmit text files around they have to be contained in a zip file. If you are trying to upload a CV, it is common to use MS Word format?

My point is it's not surprising that it will not allow attachment of text files, because most recipients will not allow them to pass through their servers.

The file is saved as a .doc on my phone. When I click on the upload button a phone menu appears asking me to choose either 'gallery' or 'music', I can't access any of my other files.
