Use accelerometer to move text insertion point

The impending HTC Evo 4g will have only a soft keyboard and no trackpad, trackball or hardware arrow keys. Fortunately, it willl have arrow keys on the on-screen keyboards for fine positioning of the cursor (the text insertion point).

App idea: Use the accelerometer such that tilting the phone slightly left, right, away or towards you moves the cursor left, right, up or down the page. That is, the cursor slides downhill in the direction of the tilt.

To avoid moving the cursor accidentally, it would be necessary to combine this with, for example, holding the magnifying glass button. Tab button = normal function; hold button = cursor movement activated.
