Use custom notification sound

Settings > sounds& vibrations > notification sound

How do I add my custom sound to the list of available sounds?

Try putting the audio files in a folder called Notifications in your internal storage. That's worked on every Android I've had in the last 12 years, including my current s21 (Android 13). I don't know what audio formats it accepts, but mp3, m4a (AAC) and ogg work on my phone, probably others too.
