[Verizon] How do you restore recovery partition to stock?

KevinThr

Lurker
I am pretty new to all of this, but I am just wondering how to restore the recovery partition to stock. Is it supposed to just go to the red triangle? or not?

It might be helpful to ask this question in the root subforum. I've been kind of wondering this as well. When I got the red triangle guy I got some options when I pressed the volume keys (most notably a reboot option) so I'm inclined to say that the red triangle guy is normal when booting into stock recovery. But I'm a newbie myself so I would like to get word from someone who actually knows.

KevinThr,

Welcome to the AndroidForums!

I've moved your thread to the root-subforum :).

If you are getting the screen with the red triangle, that is the stock recovery, so you should be fine.

If you do ever install a custom recovery and want to flash back to stock, this post should help you do so:
