Root [VIDEO] 10min Root complete Guide

tried it and failed
+2

Tried on two different machines (XP 32-bit and win7 x64); just can't get shell running in recovery no matter what I do. Starting to worry that I'll break the little spring mechanism that pops out the mSD card if I keep trying this method... bummer. :(

First when I hope sdk setup, I don't get an error, it wants to intall 15 things. Secondly, when I type "adb shell" I don't get anything about the server being out of date or daemon starting successfully, I just get "error: device not found".

anyone get it to work?

not me... we need someone to make a tutorial on how to actually set up the drivers so the phone can be recognized in recovery ive asked over and over. alot of people seem to have the same issue. if i can find a way to get this set up im pretty sure i can root as easily as he did in the video but no one wants to make a write up on setting up drivers for noobs so i guess were stuck.

also when i tryed to install sdk it said something about java not being in my path

There was an app that I used on my Droid that I paid $5 for and it rooted my phone for me, it was super simple. Any chance that will happen for the incredible?

It's a no go here. I tried it on a Vista 64bit machine and a windows 7 32bit machine. Nothing. I've tried every tutorial and how to so far with no success.

does anyone know how big the SD card needs to be to do this?
Will the stock 2 gb card do the trick?
What happens if it doesnt go through all the way?

This is my first smartphone and dont want to mess it up. but i have hacked other phones before..
