Does anyone recognized that stock camera make Sound off button for camera to be taken. I wonder if there way to put it on silenced? If anyone know how to do it. I tried third's application apps from market but stock camera more quick. More reliable

Yeah, Camera360 works ok and has no sound, but its a fairly rough app that has no panorama mode and is a bit annoying to use. I love the stock camera, but the only way to make the sound go away is to root your phone.

    Where did ya find it?
I was going to suggest /system/media/audio/ui. Accessed with Root Explorer of another file browsing app. :)

What exactly are we supposed to do in there? Do we just delete a file or something? I'm trying to shut off the sound also.

All you have to do is delete a file but it doesn't remove the focus sound though

Using root explorer you can do this-

    1. browse to system/csc

    2. open feature.xml in a text editor. (With root explorer hold down on the file and choose open in text editor.)

    3. Under the line "CscFeature_Camera_ShutterSoundMenu>false</CscFeature_Camera_ShutterSoundMenu."

    Change "false" to "true."

Save and exit. Reboot your phone and under camera settings just under Anti Shake you will have the option to turn it on or off.

There's now an option to turn off the camera sound in the latest update samsung sent out. Just navigate to the camera and go to settings and it should be there.

If you are rooted then you can enable the shutter sound menu item by adding
    Code (Text):
    1. true
to /system/csc/feature.xml (or changing false to true if it isn't already there).

This worked for me and is the easiest method without having to delete any system sound files. This enables a menu in your camera settings which can easily be enabled or disabled as seen here :)

EDIT: Ahh several people beat me to this.

My apologies, I should have looked a little harder before posting ;)
