Root [Virgin Mobile] anyone could figure to turn camera sound off

Using root explorer you can do this-

1. browse to system/csc

2. open feature.xml in a text editor. (With root explorer hold down on the file and choose open in text editor.)

3. Under the line "CscFeature_Camera_ShutterSoundMenu>false</CscFeature_Camera_ShutterSoundMenu."

Change "false" to "true."

Save and exit. Reboot your phone and under camera settings just under Anti Shake you will have the option to turn it on or off.

If you are rooted then you can enable the shutter sound menu item by adding
Code:
true
to /system/csc/feature.xml (or changing false to true if it isn't already there).

This worked for me and is the easiest method without having to delete any system sound files. This enables a menu in your camera settings which can easily be enabled or disabled as seen here :)

EDIT: Ahh several people beat me to this.

My apologies, I should have looked a little harder before posting ;)
