Root [Virgin Mobile] Camera not connecting after flashing rom

I've heard a few things from reading CM forums and XDA that CM10 has camera issues, but CM10.1 doesn't as far as the phone in concerned. But it could be the fact that CM10.1 requires MD4 firmware on the phone as well.

I don't know for certain, I'm not very good with this stuff, just from what I've read.

Well I made a backup of stock rom with CWM and then flashed a sprint Galaxy S3 Rom FreeGS3 but camera did not work I tried to restore my backup but I guess it was corrupt it said unable to restore system. So I reverted to MD4 Stock and rooted and the camera started working again but I'm on a Stock Rooted Sprint MD4 build with data sms and mms working completely fine.

What kind of text issues are you having? I found a site and i bet you may need to flash in your APN settings.

You guys need to be careful flashing Sprint ROMs specially Sprint Odin files. There is some hardware differences in the VM version of the phone. The camera also looks to be different, in working with punk it looks like there is some extra settings in the low level hardware libraries, this is why its probably not working on Sprint ROM's. You all need to remember that yes its an s3 but its also being released almost a year later than all the other s3's. There maybe a ton of other components they are now using compared to the sprint version which was released July 1st 2012. Just keep that in mind. I saw way to many users in the Victory forum bricking modem partitions. So just be careful.

People's ROM works great on the VM phone, camera works, only issue i have is sending and receiving MMS while on wi-fi, but if i turn wi-fi off it works.
