I have never used anything to boot into recovery but the key combinations. Understand that you have to ask - I would do the same :D

Is there a way to 'reset' that flag - even though I've never booted into recovery with any other method other than key combinations?

You probably already know what the answer is... Not without unlocking that damn bootloader. What's eating at me is why is it happening without using RR. And since this scenario happens every time you enter recovery. How to work around that to restore data?

Yep, you are obviously correct. Stupid locked bootloaders, anyway.

I can continue doing what I do now. I noticed MyBackup Pro on Google Play was running a sale and giving away the app so I downloaded it and I go ahead and perform a Nandroid Backup through CWM and use Nandroid Manager to manually pull out anything I might need. It works. Just takes longer to get a restore.

We do what we must to survive! :D

I took the Contactsbin, decompiled using APKStudio so that I could change the color of the dialer buttons (which I've done before on another app using Gimp). Once that was completed, I rebuild the apk and get a bunch of errors, 'Error: No resource found that matches the given name'. Most seem to be coming from Styles.xml - which I didn't touch.

I did notice using Resflux from phone that there were some 'dummy' records of some type. Not sure if that is causing recompile issues.

Attached example of errors log.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Man, you're all over the place in these forums :D

What I'm trying to do is change the color of the phone dialer buttons which is done from Contactsbin.apk. Will TickleMeAndroid allow this type of modification?

Idk how to change the color but ticklemyandroid allows me to decompile the apk, change what i want manually (and some apks can be automated) and then recompile with the original signiture

I'll try TickleMyAndroid and see what I get when it recompiles.
