Root [Virgin Mobile/Sprint] [Theme][VM-LS720] Purple Metallic

I've been working on one for a few months but gave up on it, because I can't get the MMS text color to change. I'd appreciate it if you could help.

I'd be happy to help but your question is easier said than done. There are multiple xml files that hold the hex values to change text colors in LGUSMms.apk. Some of the changes needed are in totally different apps like framework-res.apk or lge-res.apk. It's unfortunately not a "one change, changes all" type of situation if that was what you were hoping for. :)
 
Yea, I guessed it was something like that. I have changed the color of all the text from framework and lge res to contacts etc. but I can't seem to find the correct XML for mms. I've checked all the layout, drawable, styles, colors multiple times. I'm overlooking something, but I can't find it.

So are you using xposed to make this theme or decompiling and making changes manually? I have no experience with xposed modules for theme'ing. Looks great, btw.
 
Cool, then I can help you. If you don't mind could you send me a pm with pic's of MMS text you're having trouble with. That would help a lot in figuring out what you're missing and where to find it. Thanks
 
Okay I'll see if I can track down the code for those changes. It many be awhile, those are significant alterations. I'll let you know if I'm successful.
 
just wanted to report an issue ive been having with the newest version for v7 which im currently running. since i flashed the new version of the theme i randomly get a fc on my messaging. it still works but after it fcs a couple of times. jus thought id let ya know

I'll look into it. I have a couple of questions if you don't mind. What method did you use to update? I noticed you ask to test xclusive36's v7 rom, are you testing it when the fc's occurred? If so is it the odexed or de-odex version? Thanks again for your support. ;)

I used the v7 modified zip update cause i was on v6 rooted. i was also having issues placing calls as well id get fcs on that too but could receive incomng calls. i jus flashed his v7 rom zip ill give this another go and see if i get the same errors.
 
Let me know how it goes. I'm thinking that the problem is with the radio image not being updated. I installed the firmware with lg flash tool and then restored data partition only with advanced restore in recovery. I have had no issues so far using that method.
