Help Voicemail question

So when i first got my phone and it was still stock upon recieving my first voicemail a screen popped up with a picture of who left the voicemail and showing a message was left, i could highlight it and press play and the message would just play and i didnt have to call my voicemail. now some time passed i rooted my phone and loaded myns 2.2 and netarchy 4.3.1 and now that feature is gone, what is it and how do i get it or something like it back.

For some reason mine has started acting up as well. I dloaded the voicemail apk and plan on installing it. I will try tomorrow. You can find the visual voicemail apk in several places like xda etc. Or pm me your email and I will send it.
