Help Where does my data go?

When I sync with google sync, can someone tell me where the information actually goes to?

Can I view the information that has left my phone and made it's way through the ether to who knows where?

Is it sitting on a google web page somewhere?

Hope this makes sense.

So how do I view it? Also, can I edit things like my contacts on my computer and then sync them with my phone?

I was able to do this with my nokia very easily.
