Help Why does Why does my lg g stylo ms631 keep defaulting to full brightness

Why does my lg g stylo ms631 android 6.0 keep defaulting to full brightness when power cycled? It will boot up correctly at my lower setting and then a few seconds later jump to full brightness. I don't see an option for auto brightness, like other phones, so i suppose that can't be the problem, unless that option is well hidden in the settings.

Can't give an answer, as to why, but my youngest daughter had the same issue. I had to install MacroDroid on her phone and make a macro that would set the brightness to the desired level when she turned the screen on.
