Where did I say you said it was worth an upgrade coming from a G2 or Note 3.
I said, that the G2 has to be a consideration because the Specs are still practically current and the prices on those have dropped like a rock.
If you think the G3 is worth a 250-400 Premium over a practically mint condition G2 then get it. Otherwise, the G2 should be a consideration - especially if the Note 3 is also a consideration.
I don't dislike LG, I'm ever recommending their prior flagship, in the Note 3 forum mind you! As a Note 3 owner... I'm trying to help the OP get the best bang for their buck.
This is my opinion: I don't think the G3 is worth what they're selling it for when you can save a huge chunk of cash by going for a G2 instead.
The G2 was only released in September, not long before the Note 3.
I'm not even sure why LG even bothered to release a refresh so early, unless of course they are moving their timetables up (at that point either a fast release or a huge lag would be needed, and they likely went for the quick succession instead).
I generally think the G3 is a good phone. Personally I felt the itch but it's going to be a month+ before this thing hits Verizon and TBQH, I don't want a phone that drops in value as quickly as LG's handsets. Maybe the G3 will change that, but I'm don't play roulette with my cash.
