Wi-fi speed

I have purchased 2 separate phones, both new recently, and both phones have had slow wifi speed. I've tested them on multiple wifi locations. My current phone has no problems. I've restarted phone, turned of app background usages, restarted router looked at settings. I'm baffled what am I missing. One phone was Motorola G power and the other was Samsung A14. Phone needed for medical device, so it has to be on the "list". Also is a 12 year old kid... trying not to put a 509+ $ phone in her hands. Any insight?

Were they used phones you purchased? If yes, did you do a factory reset?

How are you testing the speeds?
Is this your home wifi?
What is your internet speed from your provider? Mbps?

New from Amazon.

We figured it out. We had one of the settings wrong and router at the end of the house was an old router that does not have wifi channel that phone uses (5g)

We figured it out! Old router on that end of the house doesn't have 5g channel.

I think you should restore it. I was facing same issue and i restored it. Now it is working fine
