Whilst acknowledging the 'Grip of death,' on several occasions I have been out in public places and today sat near but not in a Costa Coffee shop in our local shopping mall in Bromley.
I turned on the WiFi on my phone and it started to scan rather slowly but came up with nothing.
Is their range, offered in these establishments, very restricted to the premises? When I am at home and turn of the WiFi, it finds all the protected home systems near me and BT's Openzone etc.
I also now remove the gel case in case that also restricts signal strength.
