quick question about how to move files to my sdcard

this is a pretty stupid question but say i wanted to put the droid x keyboard on my eris which folder would i put it in? i downloaded the apk from my laptop and im not quite sure where to put it

I would mount the SD card using your notebook (+ USB device cable) and transfer it over to the root directory on your card. Then using a file manager like Astro; navigate to the file and tap to open the app manager and install. You will need to make sure that Menu > Settings > Applications > Unknown sources (checked). Then long-press in a text box > Input method > multi touch keyboard.

I'm sorry, it's not actually titled "Root", its the first level or the primary level on the card (meaning not in any particular directory). Apoligies for that.

I think if you're using Astro, it's the defualt "home" location.
haha its fine im not good with files and stuff, so i just put the apk on the card but not anywhere specific

The main folder. You can actually create a folder, and put it where you like. It's sometimes just easier to locate in the root folder. But if you'll know where to find it, you can put it anywhere you like.
