anyone ever order a phone through verizon and put it on their bill?

was wondering how that worked. does it have to be paid in full by the end of next billing cycle or can you pay pieces of it every month? since they wont move up my upgrade date I have to pay full retail which i really dont want to but i broke the screen on my 9550 and i want to get the phone

It adds it to you monthly bill, if you don't want to be considered late, then you must pay it off when the bill it appears on is due. You don't get to pay it off over time really.

yeah thats how mine is being paid for. you must pay for the entire price of your monthly bill and the phone at the same time

To my knowledge there is a limit that you can put on your bill. I thought it was $250.

You must have perfect payment history to do this as well.

The limit is $150 unless you have an account in good standing for a few years and are never late. I've been a customer since 2005 and never been late so they allowed me. You have to pay it all off at the time of your bill.

I have used this for my last two upgrades....the incredible, and now the Droid X
U just have to pay it in full when the bill comes!!

yes, that's how I've always done it. THey raise your amt you can place on your bill based on your credit history with them...we've been verizon customers forever it seems. I've never had a problem with it and I'd much rather deal with a rep on the phone verses going into the store- no long lines and most of the time the rep on the phone always gives me something along with my order...this time it was free deskdocks for our droid X's

my mom is allowed up to 2000, the verizon guy was in shock lol..what we usually do when we upgrade is pay 100 minus the price that day and when the mail in rebate comes in we use the debit card as a payment..makes you not have to pay so much out of pocket when you get the new phone

I have a good deal of credit with them myself, it really just simplifies accounting.

so does it count as credit? do you have to pay in full by next billing cycle?

It goes on your next bill cycle, so it wont be due August, but September sort of thing. I always bill my account. I believe you have 7 day grace period past bill due date.
