Will Verizion's 4G phones use SIM cards?

As the title states, does Verizon plan on using SIM cards for their 4G phones and network? or do they still plan on having everything built into the phone?
(I assume ATT will continue to use SIMS for 4G)

Also, If I recall corectly, on my (3G) plan, I can use any CDMA tower in the United States without any charges. For example: last year on my trip to the grand canyon I was in a "Roaming Zone", but since I was still in the US it was all good :). Im guessing I was using Sprint's CDMA towers. Will this apply to 4G?
I Verizion and ATT are going with 4G, so would we be able to use ATT's LTE towers in the US?

EDIT: I just read this, so it looks like the answer may be yes to both questions: http://www.engadget.com/2010/07/18/verizons-lte-rollout-is-imminent-computers-updated-for-4g-sim/

But I would like to know if anything official has been said.

Yes, VZW will use SIMS cards for their 4G network.

You can't use just "any" CDMA tower.

1. The operator of the tower must have a roaming agreement with VZW.
2. The towers SID (System ID) must be included in your phones PRL (Preferred Roaming List).

For example: VZW and Sprint have a roaming agreement. But Sprint SID's for the New York and Philadelphia metro areas are not loaded into VZW PRL. So VZW customers are not be able to roam on Sprint in the New York and Philadelphia metro areas. VZW obviously allows roaming on Sprint in many other parts of the country.

EDIT: I just read this, so it looks like the answer may be yes to both questions: Verizon's LTE rollout is imminent, computers updated for 4G SIM cards -- Engadget

I imagine that VZW will have the same type of roaming agreements that are currently in place for voice and 3G.

But I would like to know if anything official has been said.

Nothing official has been said.

When Verizon makes the switch to LTE 4G, will Sprint 4G phones be allowed to roam VZ's network under a no roaming plan with sprint? If so im considering jumping to sprint and their unlimited everything plan after VZ makes the network change. Sprint service is utter crap where i live, and VZ is pretty much the only option for great coverage. Att blows here as well, and tmobile sucks too. But if Sprint will operate on VZ's network here and get date, then i might just make the jump.

Sprint is using Wimax for their 4G technology. AT&T, T-mobile, and VZW will all use LTE. In addition, T-Mobile and Sprint (not sure about AT&T) have a reputation of canceling customers who roam too much. So I doubt your plan will work.
